Does this decrease my chances?

I applied really **LAST MINUTE **to Stony Brook and some other colleges. I just got a couple of letters of recommendation (from my principal, my coach and band director) and I finished my resume, but I don't think my school sent them to the colleges yet. I'm terrified I won't get in anywhere because everything's rolling and like I just sent my supplementals.

How much does my chance of getting in decrease the later I apply to the college?
I applied with my major as biomedical engineering, because it seemed interesting, but the requirements might be to high. But if I'm rejected for that major would I be completely rejected from the school?

ALSO
My GPA up until last year was 93 weighted, 92.74 unweighted, BUT I've been doing TERRIBLE the past few months. I got a 60 in precalc, and 70 in college bio. I've only been getting 85's in ap us gov and my last gpa was about an 87.

And I was top 10% but I'm not sure anymore. :(

I think it is on a rolling basis. There are (x) amount of spots open for the undergraduate class at Stony Brook. Applications are looked at on a first come first serve basis. The latter in the cycle you apply, the greater percentage of those (x) slots are taken.

yeah, I was really hoping that it wouldn’t effect it too much but I guess not. I was hoping someone would be able to give me a more approximate percentage of how much less of a chance I had. But thank you though.

Time doesn’t matter, as long as you’re in before the January 15 deadline.

Chris

An admissions officier was at my high school a few monthes agao and I asked him the same question but because I had sent my application in pretty early back in October for RD, he told me that the time of submission has no effect on your chances of being acceptted or rejected, as long as you have your application in by the deadline you are fine! Good Luck!!

Thank you guys so much! :)
