I am from Sweden and I have during four years (not the last four) been competing in alpine skiing on a national level. Sweden has always been one of the most prominent countries in alpine skiing and my question is if this will help me when applying to Dartmouth where skiing is popular.

Yes; contact the coach.

but I haven’t competed in three years
I don’t know if I am good enough to be on the team.

So you contact the coach and figure out if your times are competitive. But even if not, it is an extra-curricular activity that adds value to your application. Not nearly so much as if you are recruited to be part of the team, however.

my times?? I wasn’t the best, but I wasn’t the worst (in between) :P

What does your FIS profile look like in GS/SL?

Unfortunately I stopped competing before I became a junior ![]()
Maybe I am not suited for being recruited…

Without a FIS profile it is extremely unlikely that you will be recruited.

ok…
