I am going to get a BS in CS and am choosing between Clemson, A&M, cal poly, and U of AZ. AZ and A&M are on that list but Clemson ranks high as a university in general so I am having a hard time deciding where I should go. Clemson is the cheapest for me btw.

My son is deciding between VA Tech and Clemson for Computer engineering. We love both. I was very impressed with Clemson and the particularly the engineering program. I am puzzled as to why they are not more recognized in the engineering rankings. Clemson also offered him a great package. I have a feeling they are not representative of Clemson.

I only know Clemson by reputation (so so) and is probably not a place I would recruit. So, my personal thumb up (biased) goes to A&M (Texas) as I have interviewed/hired/worked with their CS/engineering graduates. IMO an important factor (that is not covered by existing ranking) is the quality and number of companies who recruit engineering grads on campus. So definitely call the career services to get the list and compare.
