I'm a junior and last year I took Spanish III, and I didn't really have the enthusiasm to take AP Spanish this year, so I took AP Chem instead (2 period class). Does it look bad to not take more than 3 years of a foreign language? I know it's a little late now but...

It doesn't matter, do what you like. If your other stats are solid, it will have no effect. My friend got into Harvard last year and he took 2 years of Spanish and 2 years of Latin. It's just an example; but point is that if your stats are solid, a college wouldn't just reject you b/c you have 3 years of foreign language and not 4 or 5.

latin is much better than learning spanish in my opinion. i will probably never use my spanish much, but learning latin will make learning ANY language easier, including english.
