I’m a sophomore right now and I’m handling my classes fairly well, with about 2-3 hours of work each day and sleep at midnight (I’m really ADDICTED to Facebook)

Honors English 2
Honors French 3
AP World History
AP Statistics
AP Biology
AP Physics C
AP Environmental Science (easiest class ever)
AP Computer Science
Calculus III at community college

I took Calculus BC as a freshman, by the way, and got a 5 on the exam.
Also ranked 7 in my class of over a thousand.

I’m also in debate team, environmental club, French club, and the solar car team. I’m vice-president of two of those organizations.

I do have a social life, you’re probably just not studious or smart enough to handle the work…
…and get a browser with effing spell-check, nobody is taking you seriously.

Incidentally, I know a girl who took Calculus BC in eighth grade (her older brother also took Calc BC in eighth grade). She didn’t take the exam because she felt that colleges wouldn’t care, but she got an A in the class. She’s now in AP Physics C - Electricity and Magnetism and Calculus III - and she also happens to be one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. =)

^Lol I’m not proud. Its just that my school false advertised in the newspaper saying it was one of the top schools in the nation, when its only ranked in the 800’s…

And I’m no ■■■■■■ >.> I ace’d 9th grade without studying…

And I guess my schedule is very easy as what you people say. So I should probably only need 2 hours a day to study.

Hey now, your schedule is pretty tough. (ALTHOUGH I know someone atm in AP Bio, Calc BC, AP Physics C, and AP World who is also a sophomore…lol.) At my school, you would be considered advanced in science for sure, and possibly math (we can’t take AP Comp Sci until we’re in Pre-calc. I guess your school merges Algebra 2 and Pre-Calc??).

Besides, it’s all about CONTEXT. For all we know, almost everyone your school has a schedule just as hard or harder. But at some school, your schedule would be impossibly hard, even for a senior. When you apply to college, admissions officers will evaluate the difficulty of your courses based on what your GC says (rigorous, most rigorous, etc) and on what classes were available to you. As long as you’re taking the most advances courses you can, you’ll be fine. =)

Yeah, I live in an affluent area with a great public high school, plus there’s a high Asian/Jewish population, so there are a LOT of really smart kids. Many are advanced in math (and some are advanced in science as a result). As a result, there are a few “geniuses” taking a ton of AP’s as sophomores - but fortunately, even if you’re in the “regular” advanced classes, a lot of kids get into top schools.

The fact that other posters would say how their schedule was way more rigorous was inevitable. This isn’t any HSL (if there is any other HSL), it’s HSL of CC.
