Does This Make a Difference?

Okay, so after visiting all of the schools that I applied to for transfer, I have decided that one of the schools is definitely my top choice. I was considering sending the school's admissions office a letter that discussed how much I liked my visit and basically said that they are my top choice.

Originally, I wanted to send the letter to explain why I was unable to conduct an interview at the school - I could only visit on my school's spring break, which happened to run concurrent with theirs, so no interviewers were on campus - but I thought that this may be a good idea.

Should I do this, or does it make me seem desperate?

Any help, please?

Does that school require or recommend interviews? (Some LAC’s like it if you interview, but I don’t know if that’s relevant for transfer students) If not, I wouldn’t suggest sending anything because many schools discourage supplementary material of any sort.

Sure, but only if it’s a school that considers demonstrated interest.

Do you all know if Pomona College would take such a letter into consideration?

I would doubt it. Any college with a sub 15% admissions rate is unlikely to track demonstrated interest. It’s worth a call to ask though.

They might just toss it away…
