I know ivy leagues and top tier colleges are looking for people who stand out as well as great academics. My academics are amazing, but I was wondering if this made me stand out. I've listed all my ECs, so you can see if I stand out. I'm a junior.

I'm on a dance team and I have preformed in 7 countries and 4 states.

I'm on a debate team and I was the team leader and won many awards.

I was on JV Tennis for 2 years and Varsity for 1 year.

Photographer for Year Book

That's all my EC's

If you love dancing and have much to write about it, I say that’s the way to go. A strong application combines deep personal statements and unique activities and distinctions (apart from strong academics, of course).

The question about impressive ECs comes up regularly. There is a thread with comments by NSM, a Ivy alum interviewer, about what constitutes impressive ECs. Take a look and you can decide how yours stack up.
