Does this mean I didn't get accepted?

I know some of my friends got accepted to UCR on Jan 9 2015 but I didn’t get any emails or anything. I’m kinda worried, I’ve applied to UCR, UCI, and SDSU. I haven’t got any emails or letters yet and I don’t know if I got rejected or something happened. My SAT score is 1580, my SAT II scores are at the 600-650 range. I know my SAT score is kinda low but I heard that UCs don’t only look at academics but so are sports, extra curricular activities, and community services. Any ideas or suggestions? thanks! :slight_smile:

UCR will be doing acceptances in waves through February. SDSU will have their next round of acceptances also in February and UCI usually starts their rolling acceptances at the end of February through March. Hang in there, more acceptances are coming. Until you recieve an offical rejection, you are still in the running.

Hi! So does that mean colleges will also send you a letter if you didn’t get accepted? I’m also extremely nervous about not getting accepted to anything yet!

@dinoxd‌ Yes. Usually, a BIG packet= Acceptance and Little envelope= deferred/waitlisted/denied

@feartheENGR‌ Oh, I see! Thanks. This actually puts my mind more at ease >_<.

Some colleges will let you know online if you log into to your account with them. But yes, if you don’t get accepted they will notify you one way or another–they don’t leave you hanging.

UC’s and Cal States will notify you on-line through the student portal on acceptances, waitlist or denials. Some schools will send you an acceptance package, but none of the Cal States or UC’s that I am aware of, send letters of denials. It is all done on-line.
