I was checking my financial aid status at BC and it says that I am missing an Incoming Undergrad Validation Form. It also says to check my student aid report for more details. Does anyone else have this?

Haha I’m sorry if this is a dumb question, I was just wondering…

Okay I looked up this form online and this is what it said: This form is only required of new students who decide to attend BC. It is mailed to all deposited freshmen after the May 1 Admissions deposit deadline, and to all transfers when they send in their Admissions deposit.

Does everyone else who applied for financial aid currently have this on their status page?

I have this in my status also. I am not exactly the strongest candidate and I consider BC a reach, so don't get your hopes up on this one. Hopefully it is an indication of acceptance, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

"The validation is mailed from the financial aid office once there is confirmation you will attend Boston College. The validation is something that is not processed until May/June."

sorry to change the subject on this forum, but i was just wondering where you guys found this status page. I was admitted EA, but I didn't know there was a page like this and I'd like to check it out. Thanks!

I checked my status and it says i'm missing a student IRS 1040 tax return and Real Estate Verification, but thats not applicable for me, what should i do?

No it doesnt mean anything. BC is a non need-blind school, meaning that they look at financial aid along with your application to decide acceptances. If you get the same message from a need-blind school(Ivy leagues+a few others), it could mean something.

Well, I received emails from Harvard and Yale saying I haven't sent an IDOC (different from FAFSA) to those schools yet. Both are need-blind, but I am a below average applicant (1320 SAT), so I highly doubt that means anything.

I only applied to need-blind schools, but their policy is to inform everyone of missing materials, no matter if you're a shoo-in or a long shot.

So don't stress out. Just wait for your letter. =)
