Does this mean I'm already in at UCSB?

<p>A couple of days ago I got an invitation for me and my parents to a UC Santa Barbara Reception "for high-achieving applicants".</p>

<p>We look forward to recognizing your academic achievements and introducing you to the University of California, Santa Barbara.</p>

<p>Does that mean I'm in?</p>

<p>Well, it's hard to get Chancellor's award if you're not going to get accepted... Cause after all, it's for the top few people who got admitted to that school...</p>

<p>I got it for UCR (and found out I was accepted today, but that was a no-brain aduhr), but wish I got for UCI too. :(</p>

<p>UCSB isn't posting admissions on the net til March 15th though. I hope I get the acceptance letter before atleast.</p>

<p>Okay so the reception is at some hotel by LAX. Anyone know how nice I should dress?</p>

<p>The funny thing is that the thing is on March 11 and that very same day I'm going to be taking a Kaplan SAT practice exam... hahaha.</p>
