Does this mean I'm likely accepted ED?

They requested it today? Wow, I expected them to gave been done with decisions by now…

WAIT JELECROIS…answer this please

did they ask for your grades exactly AS OF TODAY or did they ask for it up to last grading cycle?

last grading period.

what should i think about this?? since i dont have straight a’s right now and columbia knows…

wait what? if they asked for last grading period, and you have 3 b’s right now…why does that even matter? as long as you did good ur last grading period right?

what i mean is that my last grading period, i had 3 b’s.
that is what columbia knows about me.

I wish that Columbia would take my senior grades. They are better than my junior grades XD

I hope they aren’t I only had one b in junior year, and that was pre-calc and trig in one year. this year, fighting ap bio and calc can only do so much, when everyday of my first term, i came home late from varsity soccer lol :/

Why did they ask for your grades for ED? Don’t they only consider your first three years? My grades are always awful in the middle of the year and fine by the end. I hope MIT doesn’t ask for my grades…

My college counselor was contacted for my 15 week grades. Did this happen to everyone, or just a few?

from what I’ve read/heard, asking for your grades shows that you could be right on the edge of admissions. seeing your currect grades could push you over the edge either way, good luck!

So, does that mean, that if the admission officers didn’t ask for the grades, you could either be completely accepted (current senior grades won’t matter) or completely rejected (current senior grades wont even help)?

“So, does that mean, that if the admission officers didn’t ask for the grades, you could either be completely accepted (current senior grades won’t matter) or completely rejected (current senior grades wont even help)?”

Yes.

Ahhhh, this just makes me more nervous.

Or deferred.

well, can people who DID have their counselor get a phone call post some stats? maybe that can shed some insight into what this even means.

well i imagine those who are eventually deferred are precisely the kinds of borderline cases who they ask for 1st quarter grades from. i could be wrong, i’m not sure exactly how the system is organized.

Is it ok if I sent my first quarter grades on my own (stamped and signed by my GC of course)? I also sent them notification about an award

wait breakdown, they ask for you 15 week grades??? huh? this your school do grading cycles by 15 weeks?

15 week was the last grading period, but it wasn’t a final grading period.
axel, am i deferred then? (given i had 4 a’s, 3 b’s)

wait what do you mean last grading period…like on report card it goes by per 15 weeks???
