Ok...I was deferred in Feb. I sent my mid-year grades and stuff, and have yet to get a reply. I am assuming they are going through all of the deferrals and sending acceptances to the best, then sending out a bunch of rejections near mid-april (when they said all decisions would be made). I wrote them another letter today, expressing my intrest, but it won't go out until monday..and then they won't get it until thursday or friday. Is it hopeless? Am I out for sure? I really want to go.

I did the EXACT same thing as you last year. Got deferred in January, sent a letter showing interest, and extra recommendations. I heard back on April 14th. I found out that I was waitlisted.

Don't worry if you don't get in. If you really want to go, you can transfer next year. I applied for transfer this year and got in 4 weeks after sending my application.

It does not mean you're rejected. Doesn't mean you're accepted either.
Try emailing the letter.

Wish I could..but they have no email address listed. When I finally tracked one down, it said the email address doesn't accept incoming mail. Guess too many people apply for them to accept email - they would get overloaded everyday. And, MightyNick, thanks but that didn't EXACTLY make me feel beter..lol.

I did even get deferred
i just need some kind of reaction from umich
i'm tired of seeing same thing everyday on WA!!!

You could send your letter by the express courier service although it will be more expensive.

What type of format should i use in my letter, should i provide my UMich student ID? Soc. sec? etc.?

Provide your Umich ID.
