Does this mean my TAG has been approved???

Hi guys I just received an Email here’s the content:

Dear XXX,

Thank you for your interest in UC Santa Barbara. You have successfully submitted your online TAG
application to UCSB for fall 2017 transfer admission. We now look forward to receiving your
University of California transfer application during the November 1-30 application period. Apply at
www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply. When applying for admission, please remember that your
transfer admission guarantee is only applicable for the major you indicated on your TAG application.

UC Santa Barbara does not provide an admission evaluation or early admit decision as part of its
TAG program. When you apply to UCSB for admission, we will review your TAG and notify you of
your TAG and admission status beginning mid-March through the end of April. In order to maintain
your TAG eligibility, you must meet the following conditions:

• Complete the required courses in English and mathematics with grades of C or better by the end
of fall 2016 for fall 2017 admission.

• Earn an overall minimum 3.20 GPA in all UC-transferable courses by the end of fall 2016 and
maintain a minimum overall 3.20 GPA through the end of spring 2017, and meet major prep course
and GPA requirements for majors in the biological sciences and economics.

• Complete all other TAG requirements as outlined in the UCSB Fall 2017 TAG by the established deadlines.

If for any reason you are unable to meet the conditions of the TAG, an offer of admission will
depend on your completion of transfer admission requirements and selectivity in the applicant pool.
Students who do not meet all TAG criteria may still be competitive for admission to UCSB. Thank
you for submitting your TAG application. UC Santa Barbara has much to offer you, and we look
forward to your becoming a part of our vital educational community.

Sincerely,

Office of Admissions
University of California, Santa Barbara

Does this mean my TAG is approved?

I did a little digging and some of the wording is different for people who applied in the earlier years EXAMPLE:

"Dear Natalie,

Congratulations, the University of California, Riverside is pleased to guarantee your admission for
the Fall 2011 quarter through the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG).

What does your Email say?

I just got the same decision and I want to say it is approved you just have to do all your coursework that you put for your tag and keep your gpa at a 3.2 and you should be good to go!

They let you know in early Nov.

I don’t think so. Look again at the top of their letter

That is explicitly saying they have not approved your TAG.
