Hey Everyone! So here's the deal, I applied for the UC TAG for UCI, but some of my major prep was not (and is still not) done. My major is Biology. It said that I needed one semester of O-Chem and a year of Calculus, for me to be considered for the TAG. Now being the stubborn individual that I am, I applied hoping they would consider me for the TAG (my GPA is 3.96). The following is the response I got:

UC Irvine has received your submitted TAG form for fall 2011 transfer admission. We now look
forward to receiving your University of California transfer application during the November 1 - 30
application period. Apply at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply

When applying, please indicate your TAG eligibility on the UC transfer application and remember that
your transfer admission guarantee is only applicable to the major you indicated on your TAG form.

In the coming months, UC Irvine's Office of Admissions will conduct a priority evaluation of your UC
transfer application. It is important to remember that in order to maintain your transfer admission
guarantee you must meet the following conditions as well:

Remain in good academic standing at all institutions
- maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA by the end of spring 2011
- achieve a minimum 2.0 spring term 2011 GPA

Complete the second transferable English composition course with a C grade or better by
the end of spring 2011

Complete 60 semester/90 quarter UC-transferable units by the end of spring 2011

Complete any and all major prerequisites by spring 2011

Complete your Academic Update Request in January 2011 where you will submit fall term
grades and spring course changes

Complete any other minimum UC transfer admission requirements

Thank you for utilizing UC Irvine's online TAG process. Best wishes on reaching your educational
goals.

Any ideas one what this means? Am I guaranteed a spot as long as I dont screw-up? Or have they not even checked to see if all my major prep is done or not? I made it clear that I was going to take the 1st semester of Calc in Spring and complete the year of Gen Chem as well. I never included that I was going to finish O-chem or 2nd Calc by Spring 2011. Oh and I got rejected from UCR because of pre-reqs and accepted at UCSB. Waiting for Davis.
Thanks Folks!
