Vassar sent me an email recently saying that they still needed me to send them
a couple more forms to complete my financial aid application. Does this mean that
they are interested in me, or are the financial aid and admissions offices completely
disconnected and they just send that email to anyone that is missing something?
Thanks!!!

Hey Jacob, thank you for your response at the Decision thread :).
However, I think they just sent you a notification of missing documents. You should send them ASAP.
Oh, can’t wait 'till April 1st…

If they’re missing documents, then no. If they’re additional documents, maybe?
The way I see it (entirely speculative) is that they’re not going to make the FA office come up with financial aid packages for students they have no interest in. So, if they require additional documents to make a proper estimate, then that may indicate interest. However, if you’re just missing documents, I think the process regarding that is pretty computerized and automated and doesn’t really indicate much.

It’s pretty much a mass e-mail system, I think. It kind of just means they think they’re missing documents. They might not have processed it yet. :]
