Does this sound like a good idea? Help!

<p>So the topic for my essay is...</p>

<p>"Choose an issue of importance to you-- the issue could be personal, school related, local, political, or international in scope-- and write an essay in which you explain the significance of that issue to yourself, your family, your community, or your generation."</p>

<p>Now, the topic I was considering writing about is "speech disabilities", since I have one myself and know a bit about them. The point of the essay would be the impact they have on one's life and how society sees it.</p>

<p>Do you think my topic agrees with the assigned topic? Why or why not? I think I could write a decent essay on it.</p>

Well, I don't know if it's a disability but sometimes I can't say what I want to say.
I tend to say "AHHHHH" before I say a word. Sometimes I stutter.</p>

<p>I actually have to write that same essay..</p>
