My EFC is about 16000 something. My parents AGI is 69k, which is unusually high. It's usually 50s. My mom works two jobs to get it, any my dad is on SSI.

Is the EFC for 4 years or for each year?

Also, is there anyway I can communicate the fact my mom works two jobs to get by or do they not care?

Each year.

They do not really care where the income is from (number of jobs etc) - just what the income is.

If you think the income is unusually high for some reason and does not reflect what it would generally be (or that it will be lower this year because of loss of income or benefits) it may be possible to explain this to the financial aid department and see if they will make an adjustment. Usually this requires some sort of documentation proving the circumstance - proof of loss of job or proof of high medical expenses etc.

It actually sounds a little low if it is just you and your mom and dad.

If your usual household income before taxes is $50,000- check with the schools if aid will be adjusted to reflect that.
