Does time taken on the ALEKS math test matter?

I just figured out that the ALEKS math test is an adaptive test. So, I was wondering if the time for each individual question matters. If you take a long time on one question, will it make the next question easier or something? Will this make my points go down? Because I was occasionally taking breaks between questions and leaving it open and stuff and although I thought I answered every question correctly, I got a 47%

I took this test last year and spent over 4 hours on it and it didn’t bring my score down any. I got a 90. I left it open for a bit and didn’t do it all in one sitting but 4 hours expired by the time I opened to the time I finished. I have heard from my friends that you can take as long as you want on the test.

I haven’t taken this test, and am worried about it. So I can answer some of the questions, log out, and come back later to log in and finish the rest?
