My family has low income so I need very large amount of FA.
So I will apply for colleges that give large amount of need-base grants,
and if I get rejected by all colleges that give enough aid, I will attend community college.
I heard that colleges are not as generous to transfer students as to freshman students,
but I'm not sure and that's why I am asking here.
could anyone tell me anything about it?

Many schools are not as generous with transfer students as they are with incoming freshmen, so you need to look at the financial aid information for each school you are considering. However, you will be as qualified for federal aid and grants just as you are now at your first school.

Good luck!

As a rule, that is the case. However, it can vary from school to school, and some 4 years schools have agreements and relationships with some CCs and will accept those ready to make the move and perhaps give them equal or even better opportunities in aid.

Be aware that most schools do not meet full need regardless of whether one is a transfer student or newly graduated.

Many schools award less merit-based scholarship to transfer students than freshman students. For example, see [RIT - Office of Financial Aid - Scholarship & Grants](http://www.rit.edu/emcs/financialaid/table_merit.html)

For each school you are interested in, go to its web site and run its net price calculator. You can try different scenarios (frosh vs. transfer) to see whether need-based financial aid differs between them.

If you live in a state with policies encouraging the CC-and-transfer route (e.g. California), you may find that the state universities are as generous with transfer students as frosh with need-based financial aid.

Given the stats you posted elsewhere, have you considered the full ride scholarships listed here:

Note: deadlines are approaching quickly.

Since you’re still a senior in HS, you should be aiming for admission to the school that will give you the best aid NOW, since transfer aid is often bad.

What is your new Dec SAT?

How much can your family pay each year?

Are you low income (less than $40k)?
