Does U Mich do interviews or not?

I read the website and used the search function, but the only information I could find was stuff like this:

We do not use interviews as part of our evaluation process, so a visit to our office will not influence our final decision.

The website says in a kind of roundabout way that they don't have interviews, but I've read stuff on CC that makes it seem like they do have interviews. Could someone clarify this for me, and tell me if we're supposed to contact them or if they contact us? Thanks! :)

The music school requires an audition so I’m sure they ask a few questions during it and make it a little bit of an interview… I don’t think they conduct interviews for the regular school though.

lsa does not interview, nor does coe. school of music interviews for some programs that are either not audition-based or in addition to audition; eg. they interview for composition, performing arts tech, and I think music education.
Overall, admissions does not interview. To even get a music school interview, you have to clear admission standards first to be invited. Hope that helps clear things up.
