Does UC accept pass/no pass class? (The deadline is tomorrow so please help me!)

UC requires "four transferable college courses" and one of them must be in bio/phys science. I take a bio class this semester, which I am sure I can't get an A, so I am considering changing it to pass/no pass (the deadline is tomorrow). This class has nothing to do with my major. I assume "transferable courses" means equivalency courses so as soon as I get credits I fulfill the requirement. But someone also said you can't change it because it is prerequisite class (UC does require bio/phys class). GPA really means a lot to me since I am an out-of-state applicant, so I have to try my best to avoid any B. Please just tell me whatever you think! I'll really appreciate for that!

When I had this concern I just emailed (and called) the department at the UC who handles transfers. The thing is, yu’ll hear from some that the course can be P/NP, and from others that say it has to be a grade. But in the end, it’s the person in the department, at the UC who makes the decisions and they are the last word. She told me the class in question I was wondering about could not be taken P/NP, when about 90% of the people here in this forum were sure it could. So take the suggestions you get in here about P/NP with a grain of salt.

Call the school.
