Does UC count Pre-Collegiate units of Community College????

Does UC count Pre-Cpllegiate units of Community College into maximum transfer unit limitation?

...

First of all, there is no limitation if all your units were completed at community colleges. Only 70 semester units will end up transferring for graduation credit but the rest are used for subject credit.

Secondly, "pre-collegiate"? You mean units completed while you are a high school student? They will count all your college units regardless of your status when you took them.

If you have a mixture of units from community college and a university then limitations do apply.

actually precollegiate means a course that will not transfer becuase it is a remedial course, not becuase you completed them in high school. These will not count

How did you make that typo twice?

He probably copied and pasted.

Gabe, what are the limitations when having university and CC units?

It varies. Each UC, and in some cases certain colleges within a UC, have different rules.

70 units max will be transfered from a community college, but you can have as many units as you want, but going to a four year and transfering, anything over 90 units will not be allowed to transfer to a uc

its a forum, do typos really matter?

As I stated above, that is not correct. Units in excess of 70 STILL TRANSFER, but are awarded subject credit, not graduation credit.

But i am correct, that is the thing, i restated a point you made earlier. Just becuase i didnt say the excess over 70 MAY be used as subject credit doesnt mean it isnt correct

But back to what i previously said, my main point was that 90 units and over will be deny access to the student for the uc system
