Does UCLA ask for high school transcript?

Hey I got accepted to UCLA I just want to ask you guys if UCLA asks for your high school transcript apparently they do not ask for mine.It seems strange though as every other UCs I applied to (UCI,UC Davis and UCB) ask for that so I want to make sure I got that right.

No, my account said they weren’t required.

oh ok thanks for letting me know its kinda strange isnt it I wonder what they actually need a high school transcript for

Did you complete IGETC?

I will complete it this spring, why?

If you mentioned on your app that you would have a partial IGETC, then some HS credits might be needed such as LOTE or US History.

Well but other schools like Davis Irvine or Berkeley asked for High School transcript regardless

You should be fine, then.

thanks thats a good thing lol my high school is in another country so obtaining an official high school transcript for me means spending an $800 on a flight ticket so if they dont ask for that I can save that money hehe

As an international student, looks like you need to provide your HS transcripts!

I’d advise you to call and provide all necessary information in order to determine if you still need to provide them, including confirming what your residency status is.

Oh no I am not international student I am an immigrant and currently attending a CC.But yeah maybe its best if I just ask UCLA directly thanks for you advice

@dungsi27 I am an immigrant too, but they didn’t ask for High school transcript. In fact, I never graduated from high school.

@IcedFlavored Oh really how about other schools?

@dungsi27 Only UC Davis and UCR asked it; UCSC is under maintenance.

However, I did report on my UC Application that I did not graduate from high school. I guess that’s part of the reason why UCLA did not ask it.

For my case, I moved to the U.S. while I was in a junior, and I only attend in a US high school for 1 year. In Consequence, I did not have enough units to graduate, therefore, I never had it compete.

You should send email through the decision site, and tell them about your situation. I believe besides not having IGETC completed, the high school transcript is not a big deal.

Oh I see thanks for you rinformation
