Does UCLA Consider an Alternate Major?

Hello,
I'm applying as a film major with poli-sci as my alternate major. It seems the my primary major is insanely competitive... if I'm not accepted there will I be considered for the alternate major? I talked about both in my personal statements.

I’m pretty sure it considers an alternate major (Or so I remember from last year’s application?). As far as I know, you are considered for the alternate major too.

you can find the answer on the UCLA website in about 5 seconds with any search engine ;)

You mean this? "Q: IF I AM NOT ADMITTED UNDER MY FIRST CHOICE MAJOR, WILL UCLA REVIEW ME FOR MY ALTERNATE MAJOR?

A: Within the College of Letters and Science, the major an applicant chooses is not a factor in the review process at the freshman level. UCLA does not normally consider the alternate choices of applicants who applied to majors in the other schools (Engineering, Arts, etc.)."
I was wondering if a film major would be an exception since only 15 people get in, would they consider me for my alternate?
