<p>Unfortunately, you’d pay the full sticker price. Most public universities don’t give out-of-state merit aid. -.-</p>

<p>AND they only give financial need “free money” up to the in-state tuition price. They say that is the same for all public universities. The financial aid guy did say there is some merit aid available for sophomores and above. Although likely only up to the “in-state” price.</p>
<p>The UCs do not meet full aid of instaters, so no-way they give good aid to OOS’ers.</p>
<p>Son is a first year (OOS) and received 6K/year in merit aid (chancellors scholarship or the like) --not nearly as much aid as other schools but more than any other UC. Son loves UCLA and is so glad he decided to enroll (turned down CAL and numerous other UCs, VA Tech, Rennselear…)</p>
