I m thinkin of transferrin out of a four year private college. My last sem gpa was 3.8 and my previous Gpas were around 3.5. I know that ucla has an accounting minor but does UCLA have a bizecon program with an emphasis in accounting just like UCSB? Is difficult to get into ucla with my grades and can i take the cpa exam with an accounting minor?

I think you just answered your own question... UCLA's Accounting minor is offered as part of the BizEcon program, and it's the most popular emphasis of BizEcon majors here.

to clarify, you don't need to be biz-econ to be accounting. the two aren't officially associated with each other. you can be any major and do the accounting minor--it's just that biz-econ and accounting have a lot of the same required classes, so there's a lot of overlap.

Yes, the accounting minor gives you enough accounting units to sit for the CPA exam, however most students need to take some extra classes to reach the 225 overall quarter unit requirement (for pathway II). The minor is VERY well respected from the big four and midteirs, you will not have a problem getting a job.
