HELP!?

you still need two SAT II’s.

I think that they will no longer require the SAT II’s beginning w/ the class of 2013

Yes, you are still required to submit the ACT or SAT plus two SAT subject tests in two different areas to be eligible for admission. [University of California Admissions](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/freshman/examination_reqs.html)
The requirement remains in effect for Fall 2010 and Fall 2011 applicants, but will no longer apply for Fall 2012 applicants and after. http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/article/19470/

I think it’s unwise to not require Subject Tests any more. UC is supposed to be the system that gets the best and brightest students, not average joe blows. How can UC (specifically UCLA and UC Berkeley) compete with Ivy league schools which can require up to 3 subject tests. We’re shifting the applicant pool toward less accomplished people. The admission rates for selective UC schools will go down likely (although not affecting those who are already well accomplished) and will cause even more money to review the thousands more applications that might occur as a result of relaxed admission eligibility rules.

^^^ just because they are no longer required doesn’t mean they won’t be recommended. Any person who wants to go to Berkeley or UCLA should be smart enough to know that they need to go above and beyond the norm, fulfilling more than just the requirements.

true but it’ll probably still cause a significant increase in applications.

obviously the point of this change is so the ucla and brag more about its huge applicant pool

Haha all for the sake of cultural diversity
