Like does it matter what major you put? Can you be accepted any way?

You are not accepted into college or major you are accepted into school. If you put down engineering and that college does not accept you you will be accepted to UCSD as undeclared…it happens all the time

^Yep.

The criteria is that you have to reach the minimum number of points to get in. After you clear that basic line and they have everyone ranked in order from most number of points to least. After they make that list, they begin putting people in their first college choice. If your first choice is filled up by the people in front of you, then they move to your second choice, and so on.

Finally, you should get into whatever major you put down unless its BioE or Biology (since those are the impacted majors). For BioE and Bio, they have an additional cutoff point to get into the major. If you clear that, then you get your desired major. Otherwise you’re put into your second choice (if that isn’t impacted as well). If you don’t get your second choice, you enter the school undeclared
