Does UF admissions care more about GPA or test scores? Also chance me please :)

Hi, I’m a high school junior that will be applying to UF fairly soon and I was wondering if its common to see students with relatively average GPA’s but above average test scores get admitted into the university.
To be specific my SAT is a 2050(R:710, M:670, W:670) but my UF GPA is a 4.05. My grades have a pretty noticeable upwards trend though, I didn’t care very much in freshman year(like a 3.0 unweighted) but this year I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting straight A’s.

I’ve been taking more difficult classes as time goes on as well:
Freshman year: All regular classes.
Softmore year: 3 honors with 1 AP.
Junior year: 3 AP’s and 1 honor, 2 DE classes over summer.
Senior year: 5 AP classes.

My EC’s are average, next year me and a friend are going to found and run a club that will probably be fairly large ( expecting about 60 members ). I’m in 3 clubs this year and will probably join 2 or 3 more next year and I have ~300 community service hours from a local elementary school.

UF is certainly my first choice and I’ve been stressing about my GPA and EC’s lately so I would really appreciate it if someone chanced me, thanks

The UF website says GPA is a more important criteria than test scores. And, indeed, based on what I see on this forum and friends who applied, there are many more acceptances with high GPA/low test scores than there are acceptances with low GPA/high test scores.

GPA > test scores.

Sat is very good, your gpa is on the lower end but the upward trend is good. Also founding a club is very good. Try and get some leadership roles in your other clubs too if you can. I think you have a decent shot!
