Now I understand c's, d's and f's are obvious red flags. But I usually get A's so if I get more B's than usual will that hinder my chances?

Don’t worry about the B’s. :)

I’ve already moved in and forgot to send UF my final senior grades. Oops!

@gator88ne okay thanks
@ryan hahaha

No, senior year grades in high school usually do not matter as long as you are not failing the classes (You will have to send in final transcripts next summer to confirm this). When you apply for regular admissions not even the first semester grades of your senior year classes will have been released yet. What admissions officers like to see for academics is that you’ve performed well in your freshman to junior years and are taking some intensive classes senior year. One of the only circumstances where you should really focus intensively on earning high marks is if you are taking dual enrollment courses because they show up on a college transcript for graduate school applications, admissions, etc. If you are just taking high school courses then these transcripts will no longer serve much purpose after college acceptance.

Senior year is a great time to relax and unwind but still try and keep up with classes. Good luck with your application!

Thanks skyride! That really put me at ease. I’m ready to take on senior year!

well i got a C, a D and an E in my alevels. will be applying for UF this year. SAT score 2000. wat are my chances?

No, they don’t. They won’t see your first semester senior grades. Usually, those aren’t even ready until practically when you’ve been accepted or rejected, and UF doesn’t ask for them (If they’re great, they also don’t care). Just don’t get any D’s. My daughter was accepted, and her senior grades were 2 A’s (both in electives, one was drama, so it doesn’t even count. The other was AP German), B’s in English, AP Government/Econ, and an elective science class, and a C in math. She’s still going.
