Does UIUC have a easier workload than Purdue?

Well to be honest Thumper I dont know anyone who loves engineering so much that they want to do homework in their free time. I do enjoy computer engineering as a major but it doesn’t mean I enjoy spending my entire night on a project.

Well, would you rather spending an entire night on a project on a subject matter that you liked? Or 1/2 a night on a subject matter you didn’t like? For me, it’s the former.

spending an entire night on a project on a subject matter that you liked !!

Well…there you go itoushiro…if you LIKE engineering courses and the work involved…you won’t be counting the hours of homework. That only happens when students do NOT like what they are doing.

And yes…Joe…there WILL be times when the work will seem overwhelming, but that happens in EVERY major. Unlike HS, your college teachers do not “coordinate” when projects are due or exams are given so you don’t have everything due at the same time. In college, often things will all come to a head at about the same time.

You don’t have to tell me that I’ve been in college for several years now. My point was that just because you are interested in your major doesn’t mean you’re going to enjoy the homework.

^^^^ I agree, i don’t know anyone who actually enjoys their homework. Some homework you will dislike less than other homework depending on your interest in the topic. The part that is enjoyable is when you get to apply what you have learned through work or research.

That’s basically the point I’ve been trying to make, except you’re looking at it glass half-empty and myself glass half-full.
