Does UIUC require recomendations?

<p>I looked at the freshman app cklist and I did not see anything about recommendations. Can we dispense with them? </p>

<p>UIUC don’t look at recomendations.</p>

<p>It neither requires nor relies on them (even if submitted) for admission.</p>

<p>You don’t even need a counselor form this year, my counselor was thrilled.</p>

<p>An admissions officer at UIUC basically said: “All recommendations are basically the same…the kid’s so bright and so involved..etc etc etc.”</p>

<p>So yea…even if you do slip one in the packet, I doubt that the officer will even bother looking at it.</p>
