Curious to see if University of Minnesota allows for “double-dipping” for courses? That is, do they allow one course to satisfy multiple liberal education requirements for one major? I am attempting to plan out what courses I would be taking, and I would like to minimize the number of non-major/elective courses I need to take in order to maximize my time working toward both a physics and mathematics degree.
If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
The short answer is Yes. Everyone has the same LE requirements but one course might be able to knock off both a breadth and a theme. Also, check to see what LE’s are fulfilled via AP/IB.

Edit to update: Also, check the catalog for your major of interest and note the proposed plans of study over on the RHS of each major page. That will give you an idea of what/when to take your LE.

Appreciate the assistance. Thank you.
