Does UPenn have an online application/decision account I can check?

Seems like all the other colleges I've applied to have one....

once your app is complete, they should mail you a letter telling you your username and log in information.

there's nothing on th esite right now though, its only for when decisions come out.

Hmm, has anybody recieved this email yet? I haven't gotten anything from UPenn....

I got mine via the mail.

About how long ago was this? Or was it recent?

it was late january

They will email you if anything is missing from your file, and give you a chance to resubmit the missing documents.

I got a letter with that info. The letter said that decisions come out March 31.

I got a blue postcard saying they received my app but nothing with login information.

Here's the link to the online decision site for penn:

I just got mine today - regular standard mail.

I went to the link and since I didn't have a user name or password I entered my email addy. No response.

Tried it again yesterday, still nothing.

Elisa did you receive a letter with login yesterday or the blue postcard?

i still havent received a letter with login info either..i emailed them the other day though since it wasn't finding my email address on the website and they wrote back and said they were still mailing them out

just be patient. there's not anything there when you log in anyway (trust me, i've tried haha). it just says something like...admissions decisions aren't available right now; check back blah blah. there's no where to check your status.
the website is only for decisions, which can't be viewed til 3/31 (this month, can you believe it?) so there's no need to panic yet.

To my knowledge I havent received a letter stating my username/password, but I entered in my e-mail and I apparently have one. Does having an account mean they have all of my materials?

Barrett08:

I got a letter, which is different from the blue postcard that I received like a million years ago. hehe.

Don't worry guys - I had called Penn before receiving the letter and the woman basically said to wait until the week before the decisions are out before freaking out.

It is ealy March now! I phoned the office yesterday and found that my SAT score is not on file! They haven't told me yet! I could not trust the service of US colleges any more! One of my schoolmate got rejected last year because of missing materials and only later did her found out that that university had not informed her.

If something was missing, they should have informed me, but they didn't! How could I trust them? I am a little bit disappointed and angry? Is this the quality of UPENN???

I strongly suggest all schools should set up a website of application materials with detailed information such as TOEFL, SAT, TEACHER RECOMMENDATION, MID-YEAR REPORT ETC. Is that a very very difficult thing? MIT, Amherst could do it. Why can't others? Could you pay a little bit more attention to the applicants? Especially international applicants! Sometimes it is really hard for us to receive mails! It may take a month or two to reach our homes! And if anyone in the office makes a mistake, for example, forget to inform someone of his missing materials, it may ruin a person's life!

Can I know what she was missing or how she knew that she got rejected because she was missing materials/ wasn't informed?.....I think I might be missing a rec and they have not informed me..... URG.....
