Does USC automatically consider you for the general school?

I applied and was rejected by the film school in the Spring. I never thought to put something in the general liberal arts and sciences school as my second major; I just put down interactive media first and film production second.

Was I automatically considered for the regular school after being rejected from the film school, or did I have to specifically apply for the A&S?

I think the process is like this. first usc admits you to the college, and then if you are applying for a major in one of the schools, you also have to get accepted there. Like, I applied as biomedical engineering. I was first accepted into the college, and then had to get accepted by Viterbi.
