If I am not admitted to the specific school to which I have applied, can I still be admitted to the school as “undeclared”? Or am I only under consideration for that specific school? Thanks!
I’m a transfer, so it may be a little different for me, but I’d definitely say yes. When I first applied to USC, I didn’t even know USC considers most students for an Undeclared spot if they really want them but don’t have enough space in their prospective major and such, so I wasted one of my options as Undeclared I applied for anthropology as my first choice and sociology as my second choice (several USC success stories from one of my CC’s involved sociology majors, so that was really my sole reason for putting it as my second choice). Anyhow, I had five anthro courses and just one for sociology - USC took me for sociology and as a spring admit. I really have no idea how they work sometimes because I would have picked the major where I actually have more courses in
@zettasyntax Thanks for the info! After further looking around I found that USC does consider second major choice/undeclared major.
