I just got my SAT score and I'm really happy about it, but as I was going through the forums, I noticed that apparently some schools disregard the writing section and focus mainly on the critical reading and math sections on the SAT. I was wondering if USC does take a look at the writing section because it is my best section on this test and it made up for my lower than expected math score. Without the writing section, I still got over 1400 with just CR and math but I really did well on the writing section this time and I want to know if USC regards the writing section. Thanks!

I am pretty sure they look at it and take it into consideration - even if not formally

Thanks for the clarification! By the way, since USC doesn’t use Score Choice, if I submitted certain SAT II’s and omitted others, would USC still be able to see the omitted scores?

USC DOES allow Score Choice but they don’t recommend it-
