ouch, why do you think that the gap was so large? (aka i want my decision now ! =) )

you'll quickly learn that sc's admission dept. is slow and unhelpful

domino may be you are right, but I personally find them very helpful and responsive.

They work in a very organized manner; I receive many emails as well as regular mails throughout the admission process and anything that i'm not clear, I emailed or called them and they always replied quickly.

However, I dislike that USC admission process is so tedious... there are all sorts of small things that we have to care and so many things we have to send in...

I agree, I think that they should have most of the material online. I did part 2 Online but i also have to submit the marshall supplmentary but through mail.

Oh man.

I almost forgot to do the Marshall Supplementary application; can anyone tell me where I can find it? Also, did I miss the deadline? Thanks.

Nevermind;

Found the supplemental application alright, but I have another question for those familar with Marshall:

I am applying to USC Marshall from Pepperdine and lack one prerequisite course - microeconomics. That wouldn't be a problem except I am on a semester-long leave of absence and won't be taking any classes this semester. I wrote a brief explanation and attached it to Part II promising to take microecon this summer if I was accepted. Does this sound sufficient or should I be worried that I've got a red flag next to my name?

nope, you didn't miss teh deadline, its march 1st so send it in soon. It's on the USC online application website, you download it as a PDF.

Hobofromdowntown,

One other question: I'm probably overthinking this, but at the bottom of the Marshall Supplementary Application, it asks "Have you been honorably discharged from the U.S. Military Service?"

Should I leave it blank or put "no" - the wording sounds weird and I don't want to imply that I've been dishonorably discharged.

no clue, i would put no. Dang, i got a letter from USC today saying that they did not receive my transcripts which i sent in about 2+ weeks ago... should i be worried? i'm going to call them on tuesday.

I wouldn't worry too much; just call and you'll probably find out everything is cool - maybe they're a little disorganized with all these applications....

Nah, USC doesn't really stress the completion of requirements. They take sophmore transfers, unlike the UC's.

what is the USC "Supplementary Application" are you all talking about?

If you're applying to a certain major (i.e., Business Admin.) you are required to fill out a supplementary application. See your application booklet or online to find out whether or not your major requires it.

Do we need it for electrical engineering major?
