Do they track interest, like counting if you’ve visited, emailed them, called them, etc.?
Based on UTs admission process it doesn’t seem like they do, but based on personal tours I’ve taken, they have had me fill out information, including my email and my mystatus id if I had one( I believe this one was just the business tour)

It is listed as considered but not important. You can look this up for any school by googling their common data set.
When you do the application, they will ask what events you have attended.
I would focus on the things that are very important and important.
@anthonys621 @gettingschooled ok thanks, I was just wondering because I did a pre college program there this summer so I know the campus pretty well and we got an admisisons info session included, so there is basically no need for me to take an official tour with an info session, also I live in Ohio so I only go down to Texas 1-2 times a year to visit family in Houston. I don’t exactly remember whether I filled out something with my info at the presentation.
Wow that’s crazy. I’ve never called or emailed UT, and the first time I visited Austin was for freshman orientation.
I never knew demonstrated interest was a factor in admissions.
Baylor and TCU definitely keep track of visits and email communication. My admissions rep for Baylor confirmed this for Baylor which helped get my son admitted back in late October!!
