Both my parents attended UW grad school. Does this give me any edge over students with no legacy?

no sorry, I wish because mine did as well. However UW has too many alumni to consider legacy in the application process

I’ve read stuff that says UW considers it, but then again, UW does have so many children of alumni applying that it might not matter whether they consider it or not.

I actually just read an official answer on through a UW link. It is only considered if you’re a non-resident. If someone is from another state and their parents attended UW, they’ll be looked at along with in-state residents (the standards for admission are lowered for them) but they still have to pay out of state tuition. If they’re an in-state resident it doesn’t make a difference.
