Sorry to hear the news. 
Do you think it’s worth reaching out to the department advisor and asking them to clarify the acceptance letter they sent you? What options do they have to take you even though the admissions department declined your application?
In any event, onward and upward! Don’t let this setback deter your goals.</p>
<p>@dannikinns. I agree with Chippo. You should contact the department advisor and see why you were accepted to your major if that doesn’t guarantee acceptance to the university. It seems to me that it should be automatic acceptance. But don’t give up hope or settle for less than you want. Maybe do one more quarter at the community college to lift your gpa and then transfer or maybe you did not have all the foreign language or art requirements to be accepted to the university?</p>
<p>Thank you both for the advice. I’m going to contact my major department and see what happened. Unfortunately though I have maxed out my financial aid for community college. After you get one at my college they cut you off. But thank you both, I will keep you posted if I get anywhere with my department major.</p>
