I have noticed that its biggest alumni network oversees is in Great Britain? I also noticed that in all of the videos I've seen on Vandy that there were some British kids in each one. Just a thought.

I'd say only a very small amount of American schools have layman's prestige in the UK (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT). But Vanderbilt places very well in the London Times Rankings (among the top 50 or so schools in the world) so it is likely well-regarded among academic circles.

I wouldnt say Yale has that much laymen prestige to begin with either. I've talked to several people and only a handful knew of Yale. Even then it was through American tourists. Yale has hired a PR team to improve its international recognition, because people across the globe seem to automatically recognize Harvard and Princeton as the American Elite schools, not Yale.
But to go back on topic, Vanderbilt gets really high nods in World Rankings, so I can see how it gets some recognition. It just surprised me to see that the UK was one nation where Vandy has built up a small name for itself.

I'm doing a summer internship in London. I was initially surprised at the fact that the majority of exec's I've spoken to at the company I'm working with are familiar with Vandy (and then obviously none were familiar with the LACs).

Thats great. I like the fact that Vandy is getting noticed.
