I am either blind or I could not find the volunteering forum, but I am thinking about volunteering in the emergency services(emt). I have no desire to pursue a career towards it or med school(I am leaning towards business school). I am wondering is it worth it because it is more unique than volunteering at an animal shelter in my opinion but at the same time not related to my desired major.
All volunteering is good, but volunteer somewhere that is personally interesting to you. Even if you don’t want to go into medicine or stem, if EMT services is interesting to you, then why not? If you prefer to volunteer with animals, then do that.
You should do what you prefer. Don’t worry if it related to your major…you are helping the community in some way.
Go for it!
Just make sure that the EMT’s can take you as a volunteer.
You may need to take some classes first and
there may be some requirements including age, and liability insurance.
