Does weightloss count as EC?

At the beginning of tenth grade I weighed 360 pounds at a height of 5'9''. Now as a senior I weight 175 (with noticeable amount of muscle). I probably spent at least 12 hours a week exercising since tenth grade. Can I include that as an EC though?

No, it's not an EC.

wow how did you do that?... .. you should advertise yourself for some weight losing organization and then will count as an EC hehe.

you could probably write a really meaningful essay about it....like why you did it, how you did it, the discipline it required, how it changed your life, etc.

Oh, it's going to be an essay topic for sure.

Actually I was in similar position, 310 at 6'3, now at 190, and I spent about 10 hours a week at the gym. Unfortunately I don't think that it can count as an EC. But that doesn't really matter since you can just talk about in the essays and that will matter even more than just mentioning it as an EC.

You can mention how much time you spend exercise and how it helps you, blah, blah, blah.

Umm...I wouldn't recommend putting down "weight loss" as an EC. Seems very not interesting lol.

you are indeed very creative
=]

As others have said it will be a great topic for an essay, especially if you can show how it had a positive influence in your life....more discipline, more energy, positive outlook, etc.

But try not to make the essay just about yourself. You could at least express an interest in community service of some sort to promote healthy habits among your peers. Hopefully you are already doing it.

As others have said, it would make a good essay topic, but putting down "weight loss" as an EC would not make much of a difference. However, if you put all of the exercising that you did, and write your essay and/or add a note in the additional info section, that would probably be more beneficial.

Definitely a good essay topic, but I wouldn't put it as an EC.
