Does Wellesley take in multiple applicants from one high school?

Hello everyone!

Just out of curiosity, has anyone heard stories or experienced Barnard, Smith, Wellesley and Mt. Holyoke taking multiple applicants in from a highschool?

Including myself, there are around four girls from my school applying to Wellesley - does the admissions restrict itself to taking only one girl? Is it rare for them to take in multiple applicants?

Many thanks!

About two years ago two students from my HS attended MHC. I don’t know how many were admitted.

Two students from my daughter’s high school were just admitted ED for the Class of 2015.

I know of several instances of Wellesley and Mount Holyoke doing this.

Yes-I was one of two girls accepted to Wellesley ED from my school.

Last year, Barnard accepted two applicants from my daughter’s high school.

Yes, Wellesley does. I personally know a few 2014ers who are from the same school (Exeter).

Yes, I come from a small school and nearly 10% of our graduating class got accepted to Wellesley (six students) and four ended up matriculating. It seems like Wellesley looks at the individual student, not compared to those from her same high school. If Wellesley has a good connection with the school and know that it sends them bright and capable students then they will not have a problem accepting more than one or two.
