does wes offer alot of fin aid/merit aid?

as the question states! i would go to wesleyan in a heartbeat if accepted, but that on depends on the affordability :( that 44k pricetag is disheartening! is wesleyan generous in their financial aid? i'm not sure if i qualify for all that much, so i was wondering if they offered grants/loans/work studies or scholarships or anything of the sort... did any of you EDers/previous year students receive a generous package?

Wes doesn't offer merit aid, but, everything I've read/heard suggests they will do what it takes to meet your need, 100%. The tendency lately, depending on your parent's income, has been to maximize the ratio of grant aid to loan. But, every package seems to be different. I've also heard that they don't bargain very much.

I applied ED and was really happy with the fin aid package. Well, for the first two years it'll be fine. But when my sister is also going to college... well, my parents hope they'll adjust it a bit.
