Does withdraw with pass affect college admission?

anyone has idea if student withdraw with passing (WP) affect college admission or not?
any idea?</p>

<p>if student keep the cleass getting a C, is it better than WP ? For college like UCSD, UCLA, UCB ?</p>

<p>the class is AP econ. has finished 3 year UC requirment. 12th grade now.
I am curious why college care WP ?</p>

<p>I guess it would depend on the rest of his schedule. If he has 4-5 more AP classes he is taking, dropping this one will not be a big deal. If this is his only AP - it’s a different story.</p>

<p>Generally, colleges want to see the kids take hard classes and succeed in them. His classes next year will be much harder then AP econ if he ends up at a school like UCB. So the school will want to see that he can handle challenges.</p>
