Does WM have a good pre med program?

<p>I am currently at a VCC and am guaranteed admission this fall (GPA is 3.9). I want to go to med school and have been working very hard, making the grades I need, not that difficult blah blah blah blah.</p>

<p>I am really looking forward to going here, I want to go in HS but did NOT have the stats to get in.</p>

<p>Back to my question though. How good is the pre med program at WM. I am really curious to know because I haven't done any real formal research and I might want to take advantage of that during junior year, or the summer afterward. Are their pre-professional programs reputable?</p>

<p>W&M does not specifically have a pre med program, but students wishing to go to med school often major in biology or chemistry.</p>

<p>That said, W&M has a very high med school acceptance rate at 80%.</p>

<p>yea... there is no "premed" major, but you can take all the classes, and get a major in Bio or Chem or whatever you wish. Med school placement is strong.</p>
