Does Yale have an official quota for international students

Hi! I have a question concerning admission for international students. As I understand, Yale is both need-based and need-blind for international students - that is, it does not consider international student's ability to pay tuition as an admission factor and promises to meet any of its admitted student's financial need.

Yet, from what I heard, schools that are both need-blind and need-based for international students usually have an OFFICIAL quota for international students- that is, each year, they can only accept a fixed and limited amount of international students. MIT, For example, can only accept about 100 international students every year. So, my question is - is that also the case with Yale? Does Yale have a quota for international students? If so, what is the quota?

Yale has never stated a finite number like MIT. Certainly a rough quota exists but they don’t feel they need to bind themselves to a definite digit.

Your whole first paragraph is completely correct - need blind, will meet full need (in my experience Yale gives more than absolutely necessary - very generous (I am an int))

As T26E4 says, no hard quota but I would guess around 150 is normal. They do not consider ints in a completely separate pool (as is the case with many other schools) if that makes sense.
