They come out for our school after EA deadline, does Yale make an admissions decision without looking at all at these grades, or do they wait for your grades?

I'm asking because as you can probably guess my current grades are the worst (relatively) I've had in all of high school.

EA doesn't consider senior year grades. But if you get in (either round), and your grades in a particular semester aren't up to par (meaning, like, Cs or Ds), then good luck!

So if Yale does decide to request my senior year first quarter grades and they see that they are relatively bad (A- to B), that will definitely impact me negatively, and a lot?

The fact that you're worrying about getting A- to B senior year means you need to get off of this forum and stop caring so much :) No, just don't start getting Cs.

Don't get marking period and semester confused. A marking period is half a semester. There are four marking periods in a school year. I think for most schools the first marking period has ended already. Mine ended last week and we start later than most other schools (especially ones in the south).

i think a lot of it is the high school's decision, not yale's. i know that my high school sends first quarter sr grades, and even though yale does not require them, they will get them and review them in time for ea decisions. if your school chooses to send your grades, yale will get them. if not, they won't come looking for them.

Well guys, All prestigious unis set a grade limit, if u fall bellow then u r rejected. So unless u can't manage or unless u have killed ur mom or sth(Harvard 1995 case), then u r fine, as long as u get in.
